Our next concert will feature performances by two extraordinary musicians, pianist Christopher Goodpasture and violinist Dwayne Côté.
Christopher Goodpasture has an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, an Artist Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, graduate degrees from Yale and Juilliard, and is now a doctoral candidate at the Peabody Institute. From 2018 - 2020 he was a member of the New York based Ensemble Connect, a fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, the Juilliard School and the Weill Institute.
Dwayne Côté is an amazing Cape Breton violinist. His father, Gordon Côté was a fiddler and piper, and his mother Gladys Côté was a step dancer. He grew up in the Celtic music tradition and started performing professionally and touring at the age of 13. He trained both at home, and at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto. Today he plays, composes and teaches mostly in the traditional Scottish Style Celtic music, as well in jazz and classical styles.
Please note that this will take place one hour earlier than our usual starting time. The doors will open at 6pm and the performance will begin at 6:30pm.
